how do you keep track of how much your LO eats? we both keep falling asleep..and there's NO way I'm giving this up - I have been getting 2 hours more sleep and it's wonderful!!!!
I tried nursing in bed for the first week and I was washing my sheets every day! DD is such a messy eater...so I stuck to nursing in the glider in her room.

I dont keep track - I feed on demand, so if he wakes up hungry an hour later I just feed him again. I too fall asleep when we do this, but its worth the extra sleep!
how does anyone keep track when bf? i feed him when he's hungry... it did take a while to figure out the diff between his tired fussing and his hungry fussing.

I have this thick cloth pad I put under DD on the bed. (I actually took this from the hospital, shhhhh! Naughty, I know.) Maybe you can purchase something similar. It's great in case of diaper leaks, too.
I do not keep track of how much DD eats. She has been gaining tons of weight, so I assume she's doing fine.
Whenever LO pulls off or falls asleep I know he has enough to fill him up to the point where he doesn't feel hungry anymore. I'm not really worried about how much (time or volume) that really is. I can't fall asleep while he is eating though because he is a choker, especially overnight when he is sleepy. Good for you for getting 2 more hours of sleep! For me he started sleeping longer stretches around 8 weeks and it has been great.

I also place a pad underneath us. And it's hard to keep track, but I feed on demand anyway.
