We introduced one aroun 5 months. She can drink from it, but can't hold it up high enough/long enough to get it all out. So if I want her to actually drink her milk out of it, I have to tilt it up for her most the feeding. She can feed it to herself laying (lying?) down but I think she needs to learn to sit up and drink. I'm thinking that safer!
ETA- there is a post a few down where a lot of us shared which sippy we use for our kids.
we introduced one around 6 mos ( i am not a bf'er) but he really did not get the hang of it to where he was getting a lot until about 8 months. We use nuby soft spout.
We introduced it around 6 months with meals, but she doesn't take BM in it- only water...and hopefully cows milk eventually. ?
I don't see how it would be easier to use a cup. ?As with a bottle, you would have to remember to bring it along, keep it cool, and if he don't finish it, then you would have to toss it. ?BF is much easier IMO.??
DS will drink a small amount of water, but we do not do bm in it. It would be just as much of a pain to transport compared to bf'ing, but I guess if he absolutely will not take bottles that is an option.
