How is today going? Any progress for Andrew? I hope you're doing okay, too. I'm thinking about you, dear, and hope that things have improved since the past couple days.

well, the good news is, he finally went. We caved this morning and gave him a glycerin chip. Unfort we're told that makes the problem worse long term as it doesn't help him learn how to stool. But even though he stooled he's still not wanting to eat

I called the dr...I thought was going to "let" us stop all his stupid meds. He's doing worse than ever since he started them. He doesn't want to eat, his temporament (sp?) is worse, and he can't put himself to sleep anymore because his rumbling tummy constantly wakes him up, and he's napping like ***. I think maybe they hurt his tummy, I don't know.

But no - she said to give him MORE and increased his dosage. I could understand that maybe if it wasn't showing any improvement, but he seems worse! His calorie intake has been well below the hydration limit the NICU gave us - forget about growing. I'm so frustrated and tired and worried.

Sorry to be so negative. I don't even know what to do.

I am so sorry things don't seem to be improving. You have so much to worry about, don't even think twice about being "negative". You sound like a concerned mom, which you have every right to!

Is there any way you can take A in to the doctor so you can discuss some of your concerns and maybe he can look Andrew over? I can't believe he wants you to up the meds when they're obviously not working. Man.
