Graicen for a girl?

What is your opinion on Graicen for a girl? I always though Grayson was a boys name but when I saw it spelled like this, I thought it was definitely feminine and cute.

  • I kind of like it, I have never seen it spelled like that before!

  • Really weird.
  • Grayson is a boy name... and Graicen is a terrible spelling.

NMS - I believe I've seen it spelled Gracen - the '"i" seems superfluous.

  • I don't like it at all
  • I've never met a boy named Grayson, but I know a little girl named Gracen.  I've always really liked her name.  It flows well and it "suits" her.  I just don't really like Graicen.  Gracen or Gracin would look better.  Though Gracin looks like a medicine or diseas name.
  • I think its very pretty name my bestfriend named her little girl that and i love it!!!

  • I don't like Graicen, but I like Grace.

  • I like the sound of it for a girl, but I could not figure out the pronunciation until I read your post.  Maybe get rid of the i?  Gracen?  It still might be mistaken for a hard c.....Why not the original spelling?

    agreed

  • I love the name but like this spelling better:

    Gracyn

    It's my phantom daughters name.

I like this spelling the best too.  A little girl in DD's preschool class had this name and spelling.

My cousin just named her daughter this - Gracyn Hope.  I think it's very pretty.

  • Not a big fan of Grayson for a boy, I like Gracen without the i for a girl.  I've never heard it but I think it's pretty.

This. It was inevitable that Grayson would become another form of Grace for a girl, but this spelling is out of control. I do know one Gracen. I think it's a stupid name.

  • Sorry, saying it was stupid was kind of harsh but I don't like it when people A)make boy's names girl's names or B)add an "en" to the end of a normal name and make up their own new name.
  • nms.  She will constantly be spelling her name out for everyone she meets.
  • In the south I've seen quite a few Gracyn's.  I love the name... The little girls I've seen with this name are very girly and prissy... usually with a monogramed outfit and a big bow in her hair-LOL

I think the name is for a more sofisticated bunch... I personally love it.  Just because it's not someone elses "style"... doesn't mean you can't name your baby what you want... she is your baby- LOL

I think its a great choice!

I have a 2 year old cousin with this spelling.  This is one of those names that I like the sound of the name, but I haven't seen a spelling that I like.  They all look like they are trying too hard.  idk.

  • What about Gracelyn. Although if you like the name, that is what ultimately matters, but it seems that Graicen/Gracen/Gracin/Gracyn is pretty unpopular. I think Grace can be overused in my opinion. I LOVE the name and I wish I could name future DD that or use a a MN, but I have 2 nieces (one by marriage) that have Grace as a MN. So I would totally consider Gracyn as an alternative. That's just my 2 cents.
