Anyone else's LO HATE being burped?

Until his tummy is a bit more full, DS works himself into a total tizzy when I try to burp him. ?This, of course, sometimes leads to no burps until perhaps midway through a bottle, which usually means more spitting up during/after that bottle. ?:-/ ?

  • She doesn't hate it, per se, she just barely ever will burp for me anymore.  Then, when she does much later it is accompanied by the lovely spit-uppery.
  • Ummm, hello my life.  A would get super angry if we tried to burp him before he was full, which meant spitting up a lot of what he just ate.  In the last couple of weeks, he has stopped doing this as much.

Same thing! Then he acts drunk after- like he feels sooo good. It's funny!

DS is the exact same way and I always wonder why he hasn't gotten used to the routine yet!  I don't know why, but whenever I sing the ABC's to him he always gets really happy and gets a huge smile on his face.  I've started singing to him when I burp him and it's been calming him down..he'll look at me, smile his teary smile and grab my face, lol. :)  It's silly, I know!
