I'm in the mood to read up on raising kids. I've heard of the baby whisperer and of course there is Dr. Spock...but what are the new schools of thought?What book saved your life?

    #1 by far: Happiest Baby on the Block.  We watched the video b/c DS was already born, but I hear the book is great, too.

    Also: Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child; The Baby Book by Dr. Sears; Magical Child; HypnoBirthing by Marie Mangan.

    Hands down The Happiest Baby on The Block by Dr. Harvey Karp for the newborn months and for general care and info I really like Dr. Sear's The Baby Book
