AW: Helmet update with pics

I haven't posted any pics of Maddie in her helmet lately! The pink paint didn't work out, it kept peeling off, but I've been decorating with stickers. Maddie loves that people "know" her name out in public.

And I haven't gotten too many silly comments! I have gotten "does she fall down a lot?" and "do you bike a lot?" and even one "is she autistic?" but for the most part people either just ask what it's for (which I don't mind at all) or they tell me that their child/neice/cousin's aunt's granddaughter had one too.

And it's doing SO much good for her head. I am going to try and post pictures, but I don't have a scanner so it may be hard to see. The first picture was taken at her appointment today, the second was about 6 weeks ago. Big difference! You really can't even see the flatness anymore when her hair is dry.

So anyway, I just wanted AW her cuteness Smile . I cherish the hour that helmet is off, so I can smell her hair and kiss her head. But I'm really glad we decided to do it too.

I'm glad the helmet is working for her! The difference is amazing. I swannee, Miss Maddie seems like she has the cutest personality ever! Love her!!

You know, I was just thinking about you guys today and wondering how the helmet was going. You can definitely see such a huge difference in the flatness in just 6 weeks - that is awesome! It must help make it worthwhile to see such noticeable results so quickly. And of course Maddie looks SO adorable in her helmet!

Wow Thats awesome that in 6 weeks its already made that much of a difference!! And she can totally pull it off and make it look cute. That one Lunch GTG she was wearing i like she was a princess wearing a crown. What interesting comments people have made/asked. Hope it continues to go well for her. Too bad the pink paint kept chipping but its super cute anyways!

The difference is amazing -- I wouldn't have expected to see it in photographs! And she is just beautiful, no doubt about that, and nothing on her head could ever change that! Of course, the helmet is beautiful in and of itself. And Maddie's smile just melts my heart!!!

Wow, what a difference in just 6 weeks, that's amazing! She is still just so freaking cute, with or without the helmet. I love how you have it decorated. Sucks the pink paint wouldn't stay on, but the stickers are adorable! How much longer does she have to wear it?

Thanks! We are definitely pleased with her progress. Her head has grown a lot in the last 6 weeks so that's why it's worked so well. When she started she was 3/4 inch off, and now she is down to 1/4 inch.

They originally said 4-5 months, but since she's had so much growth, they said maybe only 3 months of 23 hours a day, and then another month of just at night. So hopefully she'll at least be done during the day in another 6 weeks!!!
