My futon sucks. I can't wait till we move and buy a real bed. Sad thing is, I'm getting used to this schedule of waking for an hour in the middle of the night cause of the bed.
Back pain does suck in pregnancy but no doubt your ed is not helping. I'm married to a D.O. that does manipulation so that helps I recommend finding one its better than a chiropractor and its covered by insurance. Mainly though I just can't sleep because my little guy just kicks and punches till I get up and feed him!
OMG, I am so with you. I used to love my bed. Now I dread going to sleep because I will inevitably be awoken at 4am in agony with back pain. Doesn't matter how many pillows I stuff around my body...it sucks.

Me too. I wake up in the middle of the night and have a terrible time getting back to sleep. I toss and turn and try stuffing the pillows around but I can really only find one position that is less uncomfortable than the rest. For me that is layong on my back propped with some pillows and my feet slightly propped too. Complicated set up, but when I turn to my left side which I always hear is encouraged the back pain is worse.
Not sure where you gals are feeling it but thought if I got back pain it would be my lower back but it is my upper back. If my DH rubs it before I go to sleep I seem to make it most of the night but otherwise, I have to get up and walk around at 3:00am, stretch etc, and then try to get some more sleep. This has been going on since week 8!!
I wish I had better news, but it doesn't get better. I am sleeping in a recliner half the night and the bed the other half. the bed is so uncomfortable, but the recliner gives me leg cramps. Why does pg have to be so hard, lol...creating life- who knew?
I knew I'd have back issues cause I aleady dd pre-preg from a horse falling on me (I do jumpers/had a fall) But it has gotten to be terrible pain in my entire back, shoulder blades and lower back. I go get massages with my husband every other month but it is only temporary relief and no matter how many pillow I jam anywhere it is just temporary relief - least painful position I've found is putting a pillow on my lower back to let me "lay on my back" without laying on it - and like I said last ... maybe 2 hours before I'm up again - My poor husband - I tell him sorry before sleeping every night because 4:30 Physical training comes really fast when you wife tosses and turns all night and usually by 2AM am crying it hurts so bad. =( May we all find some decent sleep soon.
P.S. anyone use that snoogie thing - its expensive so I keep ignoring it - but any help would be God sent at this point...??
