Nursery rhymes/songs

Am I the only one that doesn't know many of the nursery rhymes/songs out there?  DH and I didn't know most of them at Evan's little swim class.  I feel like a bad mommy  :(

    You are not the only one. I have found this out the last couple of weeks singing to the boys. I thought I knew all the words, but totally screwing them up. DH was making fun of me bc I was making them up as I go.

    I don't even remember the correct words to twinkle twinkle little star. Millie gets extra special versions of songs that we make up as we go. Hilarious!

    I suck at it, too.  I make up words sometimes.  Mostly we sing "wheels on the bus" a LOT.

    If you are up for it, check out if your library system has Baby Storytime.  It's a good way to learn them!

    At my shower they played some kind of nursery song game...I didn't know any of them! Fail!

    The only way I know them is because I teach Kindergarten.  I had to go back and learn them all the right way when I started teaching 2 years ago..eek!  I still make up my own words, too.  It's more fun that way =)

    A friend of mine was a kindergarten teacher, and she said hardly any of her kids knew them--was part of an assessment.  My mom was an elementary teacher so I know them.

    I guess I just assumed that I knew a few but I am pretty sure I only know Twinkle, Twinkle and Itsy Bitsy Spider.  I can't even think of any other ones...
