can you help ease my mind re: cord falling off

i thought it took longer to fall off- but B's cord is hanging on by a only a little bit. the cord itself looks dried out, but the base where it was attached does not. It looks a little whitish/yellowish. Not ***, just 'raw' I suppose (but not red)

is this normal? it seems so early (6 days old)

Sounds fine. DS's fell off at 8 days. his circ bell fell off at 7 days.

stop playing with it. some take longer to fall off and you don't want to irritate it or cause an infection.

I dont know, it took like a month for DD's to fall off, but I do remember it being a little yellowish in there. It goes away quickly.

It can take anywhere from one to three weeks to fall of, so yes, it's normal. ?Just continue to keep it dry and if it starts to show any signs of infection (namely if it gets red around the edges) make an appointment with your pedi.

There really isn't any way to keep it on (other than duct tape lol) so unless it seems infected or anything, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Kelsey lost hers around 1 week I believe.
