I saw your post about getting more PT services for your son. If your PT is not willing/able to come out to you more than once a week, would you consider allowing a Developmental Specialist with a strong PT background to come out?
I am not sure what your state provides or what services you recieve, but I just wanted to throw that out at you. I'm a Developmental who has a good PT background and get added to teams who are not able to get PT's all the time. GL!
Re: **SJC1984**
Yeah, we would be totally accepting of someone to come and help, anyone really. We do as much as we can for DS on the 6 days DS doesn't get PT, and he's catching on, but it's very slow and I feel like with all his issues that he really needs more than what he's getting. I would be happy to take him somewhere, but there just aren't any places within a two and a half hour drive from us (and we already make that drive weekly/biweekly for chemo). We live near a pretty big city with programs for kids like DS, but it is across the state line and they only provide services for their state. It's a catch-22 for us I suppose.
So how would I go about contacting a developmental specialist??
