realized my ankles are really swollen........they're gross! They don't hurt and I wouldn't have noticed it except for the fact that I had an itch on my leg so I lifted up my pants. I know swelling is normal in pregnancy, but at what point do you get concerned? Like if I go home and put them up and it doesn't go away or if they start looking like elephant feet?

Re: ok..just looked down and
If they don't get better after putting your feet up, you might want to call your doc. FWIW, my swelling only went down if I had my feet higher than my heart - I'd have to lie on the sofa with my feet up on the armrest. And even then, it usually took a good two hours for the swelling to go down.
I was like you - would never have noticed unless I looked. Never felt pain or anything like that. But if it's sudden, say something to your doc.
My feet and ankles got pretty swollen more toward the end...My doctor was never concerned but did make me cut out salt. It helped but I wasn't very good at avoiding chips or pizza at 9 months pregnant. I also put my feet up every chance I got (even at work!)
If your hands swell up suddenly (or you have high blood pressure) call your doctor
