We have done Ferber for night time sleep and it worked awesome! DD naps but I always have to lay w/ her (on our "nap" blanket on the floor) and if she wakes up and I'm not there then she's up and won't go back to sleep, even if it was only 15 min but if she see's me she will go right back to sleep.
I have thought about doing ferber for naps but to tell you the truth I've just been kinda lazy, I don't really want to go through all the crying and the "work." It's almost easier, in the present time, to just lay w/ her. But it would be so nice to be able to do stuff during the day while she naps! I get really jealous when I hear about Mom's who get to eat lunch, do laundry, take a shower, relax all while their LO's sleep soundly for a nap in their crib!
So just wondering if in your opinion it was worth doing Ferber for naps? If so how long did it take you (days)? Was it harder than doing ferber for night sleeping? It seems like it would be b/c you are working w/ such a short time frame and if they cry during it then they miss their nap and oh my how miserable DD would be!!!!!
