Clicky poll: How often does LO need to be changed?

DH noticed that DD gets changed more often throughout the day in CDs than when she was in disposables. I think it has more to do with her age and growth spurts (drinking more). Thought I'd humor DH with a little poll...

We rarely use disposables, but when we have I feel like I have to change her more frequently. I just cannot stand the feel of a wet disposable; the squishy sloshing around wet feel! Gross! I really think it depends on the CD though; prefolds only last for 1-2 hours for us, a pocket/AIO can last 3ish hours depending on how much fluid she has had.?

Sometimes we can stretch it to 3 hours but normally it's every 1-2 hours. Maybe that's just me. I changed him all.the.time in sposies too. (Oops... I mean disposables. Wink

)

I change every 3 hours typically or when he poops. DS still poops 3-4 times a day. We probably go through 5-6 diapers a day. His nighttime diaper is on for about 12-13 hours.

I always change him every 1-2 hours, even in paper diapers.

DS has never really been in sposies so I don't know any different. Generally he gets changed every 2-3 hours in cloth, but sometimes it's less or more depending on naps. He's not a real heavy wetter so we don't have problems with leaks, but I prefer to keep him 'fresh' especially when it's so hot out.

we could actually go all day long without changing at all. BUT, we do change about every 3-4 hours. He is not a very heavy wetter at all.

DD is not a heavy wetter either, we change like every 3-4 hours, pretty much with each feeding (unless she poops, then it's sooner).

We change every 2-3 hours, more often if there's poop. I don't think that just because a diaper can hold more you should necessarily go longer between changes, KWIM?
