I work for family full time. I am able to take DS to work with me but it is driving me crazy. I work in an office that is 24x8 feet. I was very naive in thinking that this arrangement would work out. Now that DS is crawling and pulling up and he wants me to walk him around ALL. DAY. it is so hard to have him in here. THere is not much room and he can't sleep well in here which just makes things worse. I am trying to convince him that I need to quit my job. Daycare is not an option for us since it would cost $300 per week which woud kinda make it pointless for me to work.
It is just not working at all. We are both miserable. I mean do any of you ladies think that you could keep a baby occupied for 6 hours a day in an office? I mean he has room to play and we have his toys in here but after the same old thing everyday anyone would get bored. I will lose my sanity if I continue to do this. I have offered to him that I would get a part time job waitressing in the evenings but then he complains that we wouldnt see each other as much.....Well you gotta do what you gotta do.
I dont know what other solutions there are.....other than he just thinks that I am being dramatic about it and this is my "excuse" to stay at home.

DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
What about hiring a student for the summer to help out 3 days a week in the office? He/she could take your child to the park, let you have some work time and help out?
I think it would be worth it to see if it would work. Then you could always try hiring a college student part time in the summer.
