If you had heartburn during pregnancy...

Was your baby born with hair? My sister-in-law is a mother of six, and had heartburn with one baby, the only one born with more hair than a little fuzz. My mom says the three of us that were born with hair were from pregnancies with a lot of heartburn. I'm skeptical, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks in advance!

This wives tale was true for us. Actually a lot of them were, weirdly.

She had tons of hair at birth and still has most of it.

DS has hair but I think I only had heartburn once my whole preg. and both me and DH were bald as babies. Go figure.

I had really bad reflux with DD, and she was born with a ton of dark hair. I had it off and on with DS, but not nearly as bad or often and he too had a lot of dark hair.

I did and DS had hair. This OWT has actually been scientifically proven. The same hormone that causes heartburn can cause hair growth.

I had horrible heartburn during pregnancy (went through a bottle of tums every 2-4 weeks) and DS was born with a full head of hair. I actually asked my doc about it and he said there was no correlation, but I thought it was interesting.

I had brutal heartburn - I actually asked for tums while in labour... DD still doesn't have much hair and she's 10 months old now. If the OWT was true, she should have been born an ape.
