Re: ***IVF check-in 6.23.09***
-hugs- to all that need them and deserve them!
QOTD: My RE has just told me to eat healthy and balanced, to stay hydrated, and to cut down on caffeine and eliminate alcohol once I start stims. He isn't super strict.
Update: As long as my bloodwork comes back fine, I'll be starting stims tonight with an estimated ER of 7/4. Hopefully that's a good sign.
just wanted to update you that
Mish2378 - in the 2ww from a FET
QOTD: my RE has always said absolutely no alcohol or caffeine during IUI and IVF cycles. And now I get to add no soy/flaxseed to the list.
update: Rheumatology appt is finally today!! My appt is with someone named Dr. Frick, which I find hilarious.
Yay for BFPs! Good luck and hugs to those who need them.
QOTD: Alcohol/drugs and caffeine is pretty much all they told me.
Update: I start Lupron on July 5th for FET #2.
LNLE: Good luck at your appointment today. I hope he has some answers for you.
Please add me to the list.
ER 6/21, ET sometime this week, anxiously awaiting fert report
QOTD: No nutritional advice given.
QOTD: My RE told me it might be helpful to try and lose weight.
Update: I am now in the 2ww. Beta is 7/3.
Good Morning Ladies!
Thank you again for your support and encouragement
We had our 1st Beta on Monday and will go back on Thursday for another Beta. So nervous. Praying for doubling +.
QOTD: The RE at CCRM told me to make sure I am getting enough protein (since I am a vegetarian) and suggested whey shakes.
Update: I go in for beta #3 tomorrow. I am not feeling good about this. I am having cramping (but no spotting/bleeding).

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
QOTD: My RE isn't really strict so my only rules are no caffeine/alcohol. But I've also decided (a long time ago) to eliminate soy. And I'm also trying to eat more protein (more in an attempt to lose some of this IF weight!!).
Update: I went in for the thrombophilia panel today. Saline sonogram will probably be mid July and hopefully I'll find out the results of the bloodwork, too. And then July 29 we have a second opinion at another local clinic and August 5 our CCRM consult. Next week we leave for vacation in Florida so I'm hoping it takes our minds off all this!
On estrogen and early July transfer depending on how ED responds to meds.
QOTD: Nothing has been relayed to me.. I should progably ask. I have cut alcohol and limit myself to one soda a day. Trying to make it a sprite instead of coke, but it's hard so I am working on it. I've cut out soy to be on the safe side too.
Can you add me to your list under On BCP's/Lupron Now:
2becomes3: IVF #1, on BCPs
Thanks!
Good morning! ET was Saturday and my fert report came in over the weekend. Unfortunately I did not get to talk to my regular IVF coordinator b/c it was her weekend off, but I was intially told 14 eggs were retrieved.
On Sunday, she called again and said that 9 eggs were ICSI'd (presumably 9 of 14 were mature, but she was unclear on that) and of those 9, 7 fertilized.
Yesterday I got an email from my regular RN who hinted at the possibility of a 3dt, which would be TODAY. She has promised to call me today with all the details and I am nervously waiting. I guess since I haven't heard from her yet that it'll be a 5dt as planned.
QOTD: Just the basics, I guess b/c I'm doing a DE cycle.
May I please be added to the check-in. I start BCP's in July and our IVF is scheduled for August.
QOTD: She told me to eat a healthy balanced meals and try to get regular exercise in everyday.
Congrats to the bfps!! Good luck on your 2nd/3rd betas!
Update: 5dt will be Thursday. They got a total of 17 eggs on Sat and did ICSI on 12 of them. We had 7 embies growing as of Sunday. I'm a little nervous because last time we had 8 embies, but by day 5, only 1 had made it to blast stage.
QOTD: My RE isn't too strict. No alcohol and I'm supposed to limit caffeine, but don't have to cut it out entirely. I switched to half-caff coffee a long time ago and will have an occasional soda or iced tea. I was also told to limit aspartame.
GL to all the ER/ET/Beta girls and to those in the 2ww. Hugs to all.
QOTD: My RE hasn't really mentioned anything diet/nutrition-wise. No smoking (which I don't), no drinking during stims/2ww. That's about it. He did ask me if I drank pop (soda, lol) and I told him diet caffiene-free and he basically said that's brown water, so he wasn't concerned.
Well, right now I am cycling on my own, no drugs or monitoring while we wait for my H's karyotyping and I am drinking regular diet coke, so............lol
Good luck to all the ER/ET's and betas! Kimarino can't wait to see your most recent beta tomorrow!!
No update on me, still waiting.

Thoughts from an Overwrought Mind
SAIFW
Congrats Kim! ?I am crossing everything for you that this is it.
QOTD: ?My RE never advised anything. ?Now my acupuncturist on the other hand is a little nuts and I'm taking her advice *** grano salis. ?She advises no dairy, shellfish, or chicken for me. ?And wants me to cut out sugar. ?My DH thinks she just wants me to loose weight and is trying to be subtle about it. ?She says that the dairy shellfish and chicken are bad for women with fibroids and endo because they cause things to grow. ?They are good for pregnant women. ?But bad for me right now. ?Not eating chicken is a killer. ?I don't like red meat. ?So I've been eating a lot of pork lately. ?Oh and for some reason Turkey is o.k. ?So I've been eating that too.
?Update: ?Playing the waiting game until August. ?For now I'm just supposed to be letting my lining heal after last weeks hysteroscopy. ?So I'm drinking lots of POM juice and following my acupuncturist guidelines of no cold drinks or food which supposedly takes blood away from the uterus to aid in warming up the cold food for digestion. ?This sort of makes sense to me physiologically. ?But it sucks to do it during the summer.?
THe RE told me to eat healthy, and no alchohol and 1 caf beverage per day. I do no caffeine! I have also avoided soy stuff...
Hugs to all!!
I am just in limbo, my beta is 6/29-monday, i will be 10dp5dt. I want to start peeing on things NOW. I am only 4dp5dt from my FET!!
TTC since 12/06, PCOS w/ Endo & MFI - 3 Laps - 3 IVF's - 1 FET - 1 ectopic - 1 c/p - gearing up for IVF#4
My Fav Thing about Spring is Easter Candy!
QOTD: My RE hasn't really said anything about nutrition. I am a healthy eater anyway, so perhaps that is why? He did tell me though if I feel like having a cup of coffee then go for it.
Update: Starting Lupron(hopefully) on July 9th.
Good luck to the ER's and ET's this week.
I am chillin' in the 2 ww. I am not losing my mind yet But it is only 3 days in! I will let you know when it starts running away again...or you will just be able to tell from my posts!
Hugs to everyone who needs them!
Congrats to our BFP ladies! Sending super beta dust!
QOTD: My RE told me to lose weight! He also said to cut down my caffeine significantly and no alcohol. I havent had any caffeine or alcohol this cycle...not that I wasnt tempted to have a drink a few times!
Update on me: had BW and u/s, supressed nicely and I'm starting Gonal-F on 6/26.
QOTD - she really didn't say much, no alcohol, limit caffeine. That's about it.
QOTD: My re didn't have to many changes, the typical, no caffeine, alcohol on stims etc...they did want me to gain weight which I have. My acupuncturist has suggested food that help with blood flow to the uterine area: beets, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, spinach etc - most of the foods are things I already eat plus a few things I didn't, bone marrow broth which I have made and use to make rice. I have also added in some whole dairy.
As for me this week, I am anxiously waiting for Fri. H doesn't want me to poas but I have 3 in case I cave. I am nervous to do that though so we will see! Hopefully one or more of the 3 embabies stick :-)
Good luck to all!
OMG I'm feeling so overwhelmed just looking at that long list...! This is my first IVF cycle (TTC #1 circa 2007).
Please add me to the list...
I'm on IVF#1, Lupron/BCP stage.
