Here's my problem with nursing in a bathroom

No one bothers to wipe off the seat after they pee all over it.

Re: Here's my problem with nursing in a bathroom

  • Not to mention that you aren't even supposed to keep your toothbrush within some amount of feet from the toilet because of what gets spread around when you flush...

    Ew.

  • Loading the player...
  • My problem is I can't see my other two kids.  Or maybe I should just drag them all in there with me.

Next time you see a mom with these kids stuck in a bathroom together for 10 mins, you found me.

Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.
  • my problem is bathrooms are disgusting, and i wouldn't eat in one, so why should a baby?
  • When I was nursing ds would take forever and a day to nurse... staying in a bathroom for an hour at a time... so not cool.

  • I've been forced to pump in a hotel lobby bathroom before; I was there for training all day and had no choice. They wouldn't let me use an office or a hotel room for the short amount of time it would have taken. The desk clerk tried to send me to the sauna to pump; there aren't any outlets in the sauna!! So I stood up in the handicapped stall for 20 minutes, pumped and returned to training after the break a little late. You do what you have to do for your kid!!

Amen.  I try to spend as little time as possible in there myself.

  • I refuse to pump in a bathroom and would def refuse to bf in one.  I would go out to my car or nip with everything hanging out before I used a bathroom.  I tend to go into dressing rooms if possible.
  • My issue with it is that you wouldn't eat your lunch in a bathroom so why should a baby? It's unsanitary to eat in a bathroom, I don't care if it is coming out of your boob. Eating in bathrooms is gross no matter what.

  • I would just love if someone told me to feed my kid in a bathroom. that would be awesome.  because i enjoy being snarky IRL too.
  • not to mention that they are noisy and distracting places.  I couldn't nurse Mikey there if I tried - he needs to know what every noise is and always unlatches to check
