We have a really good friend who has 2 teenage daughters. One is 13 the other will be 16.
Since they have the summer off they are going to help me out.
I have already told them that I can't afford to have them over as much as they want to come over. I also told them I might not be able to pay them ever single time, but I promised them I wouldn't take advantage of them and that I would take care of them. ie gift cert to Vickies Secret, Old Navy, Gap etc... They are okay with this.
The 13 year old has to do community service for up to 20 hours and wants to use me for that with free babysitting.
On the days I can pay them I have no clue what to pay them.
On thursday I am taking the 13 year old with me to run errands. I also have a 2 year old DD - so she will be wrangler her in and being an extra set of hands.
I am also planning on buying her lunch (not that this matters)
How much should I pay her?
We have never had a babysitter that we paid - it is usually family that has offered to watch her or my girlfriend (we switch off babysitting).
I feel stupid for being so clueless on this.
