I've read you should feed your baby at the center when you drop her off? and immidiately on picking her up? Do any of you do this? Do you find it helpful?
I don't do either of those...I feed her at 6 am, DH drops her off around 8:30, and I pick her up at 6 pm. She usually has her last bottle around 5, so I feed her again around 7:30 or 8pm.
Tips... keep extra "pump parts" and bottles in your desk at work, because sooner orlater you will forget your pump parts at home, and it sucks.
Ask this on the working mom's board, you will get a lot of good answers!
I have done this on occasion, but its not our typical routine. I feed in the morning when she wakes up (usually between 6 and 6:30). We drop off at daycare at 8 most days. Pick-up is 6:15 PM and I feed her usually within the first hour that we are home.
I would nurse right before i left..then left a bottle of expressed milk for DH to give to him before he dropped DS off. Then I let them give him formula because they messed up the breastmilk the one time he sent it. Then as soon as I got home I would nurse him or pump.If you have the time to nurse her before then go for it. But dropping a baby off at a center and then rushing to work is hard work in itself.
Re: starting daycare-- any other tips?
