DC Metro Train Crash

Thank God DH drove in today. He doesn't take the Red line, but I fear for any of his co-workers and friends who were on that train. He is freaking out right now :(

  • It is the exact train my uncle takes.  He was waiting for the next one when it happened. Thank God.

  • I thought it was heading away from the city...so less commuter traffic. Either way it is just so horrible.

  • That is awful! I feel so bad for those people and their families.

We went to DC for our honeymoon and we spent alot of time on the metro.

  • Wow....I was so involved with DD that I didn't have the news on.

Makes me feel better knowing that DH and I don't need to take it.  I realize it is normally safe but when stuff like this happens it is always bad as you aren't secure.

  • It is horrible.  My dad takes the orange line every day and he got home 30 min before it happened thank goodness.  So scary.

actually away from the city at 5 PM = more commuter traffic. DH takes the red line every day. Thank God he is OK. The news is frightening. I keep telling myself how much safer the metro is than driving.
