Hip Dysplasia

Anyone`?  My baby was induced at 42 weeks, not breech, and yet was just diagnosed with this.  We have a second opinion scheduled this Friday to determine proper treatment.  But looking for any stories of it, and treatments received.

    Ask on 6-12 too.  One of the regulars' DD had it.

    Hey there!  I just lurk here, but I was born with it 40-some years ago and have never, ever had any problems.  But keep in mind, today's diagnosis of things is much different than 1967!  

    From what I sort of know about it, mine was a pretty mild case.  But it was considered something hereditary.  Docs just had me double-diapered for several weeks and it sort of worked itself out.  If it had not, I was supposed to have a "frog cast" for several months.  I guess they would forcibly spread my legs with a bar at the knees.

    Ah... 1960s medical treatments!
