Hi everyone. I'm a newbie and am 5 weeks pregnant. I had a dr apt today and she wants me to wear compression stockings for my varicose veins. Any idea where to get them? I have tried Walgreens and CVS and have had no luck. Thanks for your help.
I prescribed them for my patients almost everyday. You can find the 20-30 mm Hg strength in most (larger) drugstores and Target/walmart. For pregnancies, make sure that they at least come to your knee. You can also find thigh-end and full hose at a medical supply store. I'm a doc and wore them for my first two pregnancies, and they really made a difference.
Thanks! She wants me to use the 18-20 strength ones, so I'll have to check for that strength. Do you know if they have some that are open toed? I live in FL and it is disgustingly hot right now and I haven't worn hose in years! Thanks again!
