Someone tried to break into my condo!!!

I was just out on my second level deck and noticed very supicious handprints showing someone climbed up and gained access to my patio.  Thank GOD the door directly to my bedroom was locked, we sometimes keep it open when its hot!!  And DDs bedroom window is also on the deck.  I'm sooooo creeped out right now I want to wrap my column in barbed wire.  Do you think I should call the cops and have them fingerprint the prints, or is this a waste of their time since nothing was stolen?  WTF  I HATE feeling so violated and they didn't even get inside.

    Well, I guess it can't hurt to call police.

    Glad all is well.  We got broken into while I was on bedrest!  But they encountered me and ran off.  I remember being very, very angry.

    Wow...I would be freaking out!  Do you have any security within your development?  Can you talk to the board about putting in extra security measures?  I don't know what the police could do at this point, but I would definitely keep your door locked!

    I would call the police and report it, absolutely. ?There may be similar crimes in the neighborhood and this might help with the case.

    I'm sorry, it's an awful feeling. ?I was home alone with DS in March when two guys tried to break down our front door. ?I was so traumatized by it. ? If you don't already have one, I'd highly recommend an alarm system. ?The police who came to our house said they're a must have in this economy. ?People are more desperate than ever and break-ins are up everywhere. ?:( ?We pay like $25 a month, and I feel MUCH more secure.
