    yes, and yes......

     

    I didnt send it to everyone just the ppl who have repeatedly asked me when it is so they can plan vacations and such.........for some reason all DH's family goes out of town in september

    Haha...I had to figure out what other meaning STD could have. Yes, that's what it is. It is cute- I think the other posters were right that people won't change travel plans over it, but I don't think they'll be bothered in any way by this cute STD (hahaha...cute STD...yes, I am a 14 year old boy today). :)

    I do STD's for everything. (Maybe not an actual card, but at least an email or Evite) - everyone is so busy these days - I think it's smart and necessary! :)

    Oops, sorry - I'm stuck on the knot sometimes with the STD lingo.

    I don't see why anyone would flame a baby save the date.  It's not really necessary, but it's certainly cute and another way that your family can get some cute pics of your DD!

    For what it is worth, I was asked to send something out asap and I didn't have invites ready (Party the 2nd weekend in August).  I sent out an evite letting them know more formal invites will follow.

    That way if people want to attend they will plan around it.

    You did a lot more work than I did and I am very impressed!
