How long after taking last BC pill did AF come?

I have 17 days left of bc pills. I typically do IUI on cd14 give or take one day. DH will be out of town on July 29-Aug 1 for business. So if AF comes the day after my last bc pill then we should be fine but what if AF does not come for several days? I really don't want to have to put off inject. another cycle and am so worried that IUI will fall on a day that DH is gone. We would be fine to do IUI on July 29th as DH can drop off his sample on the way to the airport but what about the other days? I'm sure I am way over thinking this but it is really consuming me. I have a call into Dr. S. But I am just wondering if anyone here has run into this situation? Also, it has been so long since I have taken bc and can't remember if af comes as soon as you take the last pill or does it take a few days?? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Mine's usually 3 or 4 days after I take off my patch. I think pills were about the same.

When I was on BC I would take my last pill on a Sunday and AF would usually come around Tuesday or Wednesday.

Could you take an extra week of active pills to push your cycle by one week? (which is essential what I will be doing for our next cycle).

From what I remember, it took about 2-4 days for AF to start for me after my last active pill.

Thanks ladies, this is what I was affraid of. Poontater: I am going to ask the nurse about that when she calls. The only thing with doing that is that DH will be oot during injectibles so I might have to find a nurse to give them to me which I am totally fine with.

When I was on BC, I would take my last pill on Saturday and AF would come on Thursday.

Can you ask about freezing the sample? We never did it, but I know some girls on SAIF have. I don't know if they do that at Dr. S's office though. I actually gave myself IM shots in my rear several times when I was away from Monte. I didn't think there was any way I could do it, but it was actually super easy once I was forced into it. I was on PIO for 13 straight weeks this time, so I guess I was bound to be away from him at some point in all that time!

I would take the extra week of pills to ensure that DH was home and I could get a "fresh" sample. ?I'm not sure if I could have given myself the shots, but I think that the nurses at Dr S's office will do it for you. ?(Keep in mind that I am a huge baby when it comes to needles.) ?Good luck this cycle!

Mostly the day after, but sometimes it came the day I took the last pill, which I always found wierd since off birth control I have a(mostly) 31 day cycle
