What is Fage Greek yogurt?

Biggest Loser's Helen Philips says it's what she has for a snack in her article in Life & Style and I'm wondering what this is and if HEB carries this or if reg yogurt will suffice? Anyone know?

SORRY! I have a lot to say today on many subjects! Embarrassed

Re: What is Fage Greek yogurt?

  • fage is a very thick greek style yoghurt (looks like sour cream / custard) I get the whole milk for little dude and we have the 0 or 2%. You can use it in place of sour cream in recipes and stuff. or youc an sweeten it with fruits and eat it.

    love it.

regular yoghurt is just totally different imho. it's way runnier.

You can actually get regular yogurt to have more of a creamy consistency if you strain it through a cheese cloth.  You can get it at HEB now.  For a while it was hard to find but now HEB is starting to get a few more Greek yogurt brands.  I also like Greek God's yogurt.  It's a little cheaper and you get a little more than you would if you bought Fage.

  • I'm too impatient to wait for it to strain long enough :)
