HELP!!! IUI MOVED TO IVF!!!!

I went in for my check today and my follicles are up to 14mm and there are a whole bunch of them! Combined with my high estrogen! They went to get the doctor and he talked to me and said it was the perfect IVF cycle. So then they got the?finical?person to talk to the insurance (we are waiting to hear if they will make the switch) and to my nurse. They gave me A BAG of meds plus that?intermuscular?trigger! OMG I am sooo overwhelmed!!!! This is not somewhere we were planning to be so soon! Any stories advice etc would be appreciated!!!!

    oh my goodness, I can imagine what a surprise the news was. I dont have any advice but just wanted to wish you the best of luck!!

    That's exciting!  And most of the hard part is done :) Just follow the instructions for the rest of the cycle and we'll keep our fingers crossed!

    my first IVF was converted from an IUI.  it was a BFN, but i know a couple of girls on here who did the same and got their BFPs.

    however, if you do not feel comfortable, it doesn't matter how perfect of a cycle it could be, don't feel like you have to do it.

    I don't have any advice but I wanted to say GL! I've seen a few girls on SAIF who were converted from IUI to IVF and got pregnant. :)

    I also wanted to tell you that the IM shot is not as bad as you think it will be.....when my DH did it the 1st time I didn't even feel it and I thought he did it wrong. Embarrassed

    Hopefully, your insurance will cover the IVF and it will be the perfect cycle!

    I hope the insurance comes through and everything works out for you. ?I know it is overwhelming but since it is a perfect IVF cycle maybe it will be the perfect cycle. ?Lots of luck.

    I would just be certain that this is also something you and DH are comfortable with and second that you don't have to go through with it.  I always worry about the motives of the RE office.  I would def make sure the decision is right for you and be sure you and dh are comfortable with the # eggs retrieved, fert, etc.  Just my 2c.

    The same thing happened to me for my first IVF.  I was a nervous wreck because I NEVER thought we would even have to think of IVF.  But the whole process went really smoothly and even though it didn't work, I'm glad we made the decision to go forward with it.  Good luck, it will be fine!

    woah, that must have been a shock! hang in there, it will work out. it's great that your doctor is flexible and looking out for what's best for you.  keep us posted on what happens!
