I'll kill wordpress.

Every time I try to do one of their updates it deletes my entire blog.   WTF wordpress?   Why you gotta do me like that?

I mean...I've backed it up and stuff, but I don't quite understand the point of upgrading something when it just somehow invalidates all my code and replaces it with a blank page!!!

    I have been asking DH to update my wordpress he is putting it off.. I guess thats why!

    Don't do it.   This is the 2nd time it's happened to me.   I've been putting it off for weeks, and then finally this morning sat down to do it and ARGH!

    Wordpress locked me out of my site a few months ago because it didn't recognize my user name and password. I hate wordpress!

    No offense- but, that sounds like user error. We've been very happy with Wordpress- my husband has an entire company dedicated to WP sites- it's generally very, very stable software, and upgrades should not be causing so much trouble for you.

    Not offended, but I just clicked their automatic upgrade link, so I'm not sure how I could have done that incorrectly.

    DH says you have a 500 server error (a problem with the code- or how the code is working with your host)- can you check your error logs?

    ETA: If that's the case, it's likely NOT an error on your end, btw. Just bad code- on the ugprade, or on your server. 

    Hmmm...would you mind if I PM'd you my error log?   It's only 5 errors long, all from today, but I don't understand any of this jargon...it looks like it's just telling me what files people have attempted to access since it went down, and that none of those files exist.

    I was just about to restore from my backup, but that seems like it won't solve my problem in the long term...

    i've been putting it off myself and i guess i wont be upgrading anytime soon, at least until i see yours up and running.
