Summer Best View Digital Video monitor. Haven't mounted it on the wall yet, but it works great in our basement.
Depending on where you live, you may want to consider a digital monitor. If there's a lot of babies in your neighborhood, you may get interference/crossed signals with other monitors (you can hear/see other people's monitors and vice versa) .

We have the Sony Baby Call. We chose it because it got good reviews in Baby Bargains.
We got this one first.....but then DH was with me at BRU and got hooked by a video monitor.....I think it's a Summer brand, that is a hand-held video monitor that kinda looks like a flip phone that can vibrate. He just really wanted it so I said go for it:) BUT have heard such great things about the Sony Baby call.
I am getting one of the video monitors, I forgot if the company is Summer Infant or Summer Baby. DH is super paranoid and wants to be able to see the baby at all times:) He is planning on hooking it up to the laptop.
yes, we got the fisher price mom response with dual handsets. we definitely wanted to get a monitor because we have a pretty big house, and the nursery is upstairs (our master is downstairs). the monitor got good reviews, and we liked the dual handsets, and the fact that you can turn on a little nightlight and music/nature sounds from the handset. plus, it got good reviews.
I *highly* recommend the AngelCare monitor. https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2970307 IMO, every new parent should have this. It has a motion sensor that will alert you if your baby stops breathing for more than 20 seconds. And it has the best audio quality of any monitor I have ever used or seen at friends houses. We didn't start off with this one with my daughter. She started STTN at 1 month, but I was still up all night checking on her. Once we got the AngelCare monitor, I was able to sleep through the night too.
We started off with the Sony Baby Call based on reviews. It was *OK*, but it always had interference and you couldn't get it near a cell phone because it would cause ear-piercing feedback. I just wanted to share my experience with that one.

We have this one and love it for all of the same reasons. We got it when we had DS and will use it again for this baby. We haven't had reception problems or anything with it.

Just personal experience with the angel care monitor - I used it when at my SILs house and the "alarm" kept going off when nothing was wrong. You could actually hear DS breathing but the alarm was going off as if there had been no movement for 20 seconds. It freaked me out and caused more stress than no monitor at all! She also had major interference problems with it (she lived in SW FL).

This is the one we got as well! I think it will put my mind at ease.

We have this...
Same here.
We just got this over the weekend but haven't taken it out of the box yet!
We bought an iPod touch and are using the web browser to gain access to our webcam, which we will put in the nursery. This will be great for a baby monitor (as the iPod touch has an external speaker plus is a great toy for mom!) and then our families (which live far away from us) can see the baby too. My DH is a computer guy, and is very excited about this...so I let him run with it!

I have one of these.... Greatest thing ever!
We have this...
Thanks for your answers... We are between the Summer Video monitor and the Angel Care but It's good to see other options and compare before buying.
We are very picky, and we take a lot of time to make decitions in this kind of things... (Imagine how did it take to choose the stroller!)
