Where were you at 36W?

Just curious what the Dr said at your 36w appt. My Dr said I was 1cm, cervix thick and behind baby's head and the head was in my pelvis. The Dr said it was typical for 36w.

So if the Dr said baby's head was in my pelvis does that mean I have dropped? (Yeah I know I should have asked her that day but didn't think of it until I got home) So where were/are you ladies at 36w?

I was 1 cm & 50% effaced with LO engaged. I've only dilated 1 more cm since then...

We didn't do any of those type of tests at 36 weeks. Just listened to the heartbeat and got weighed. I didn't have my first internal till 38 weeks and at that point I was not dilated at all but baby's head was low. At 39 weeks I am 1 cm dilated--which means nothing. It could be that way for weeks.?

I was checked for the 1st time at 40 weeks 3 days and I had the same story as you except for that I am not dilated. It might mean you have dropped, but I still don't really feel like I have dropped. It can happen right before labor too. And off the subject.........I love you baby girl's name, it is so beautiful!

I was 1 cm and my cervix was in the "middle" which was uncommon for first time moms she said. But...I will probably be 1cm for the next 3 weeks, knowing my luck.

Ditto! I lived in Adelaide, Australia for a year and I really wanted to name our first girl Adelaide but DH vetoed it I think it is SUCH a beautiful name, and I LOVE the nickname Addie!

At 36w5d, I was a fingertip dilated and my cervix was very soft. I haven't had an internal since then, so I don't know if I'm any further than that now.

I was checked at 35w3d and I was 2 cm dilated, cervix was thinning out but he said her head was still a little high. I will get checked again this Thursday.

Thank you for the name comments. It was the only girl name DH and I agreed on. DH had a song on his Ipod called "Adelaide" and so he mentioned it one night and I told him I had that on my list. So it was a keeper. I overhead him telling our banker the other day what her name was and when she replied "That is one of the most beautiful names I've heard" He proudly said he picked it out. Stick out tongue

I guess I won't get any credit for it.

1cm, 80% effaced, -1 station but my cervix was high (??) so my doctor said it would be a while

This week I have been having a lots of pain in my va jay jay and hip pain so I am hoping it means I moving right along.

Last they checked, I was 2-3cm, 60% effaced at -2 station. Oh and cervix soft, LO head is "right there in the middle". Still not sure what that means.

At 36W I lost my MP and was a fingertip dilated and thinned out...I'm still the same. LOL

My OB is pretty sh*tty and doesn't do much of anything, I've only had one internal. I actually called today and told them I was hurting really badly and asked if I could come in, they told me to wait until my appt Wednesday if my water hadn't broken

Hard and closed at 35w 5days. Her head was not in position.

Head had dropped but I was not dilated or effaced. At 39 weeks, I am 1cm and 50% effaced.

wow that is pretty shitty!

at 36 weeks I was 2cm-3cm dilated and her head is right at the opening of my cervix.
