What made you decide to have another baby?

My deliemia is that I want to try for a boy, (I have 3 beautiful daughters). My husband wants a boy also, his family name will die if we don't have a boy. One of my daughters is from a previous relationship so my husband and I have two girls together. The only problem is I really would like a boy and there are no gaurentees on that unless you pay 20,000+ for PGD. I have looked into natural swaying methods but those are only like 65-70% if done perfect, and not backed by any "official" studies.

    Lucy I totally love what god has already given me!!! I'm just debating if I want to have another knowing I might not get a boy! I have checked out ingender, that's where I got all my "natural swaying method" info!! Thanks and GL to you Lucy!!

    I know a couple that kept trying until they had a boy. They have 13 girls and 1 boy.

    1.I think you're a horrible toolface who needs to STFU about wanting a boy. Be happy that you a) can get/stay pregnant and b) have three daughters.

    2.FWIW, I think you're an even bigger toolface for even considering PGD to choose the sex of your next child. (And GL finding a reputable RE to do so.)

    3. It's "dilemma" and "guarantees".

    4. You actually took that shyt on InGender seriously?  Really?

    By dilemma (or deliemia, have it your way)  and "only problem"  - you mean you will be unhappy if you have another girl?

    And right you are - there are no guarantees (or gaurentees either for that matter).

    We are having more because we want a big family.  I have three beautiful boys, and I would be thrilled if I had 7 of them.  Having more kids in the hopes of having a particular gender always seemed dicey to me.  I don't doubt that you would love your daughter if you did have another girl...but I personally would be afraid of "blaming" the child, even just subconsciously (sp?), for not being the gender I wanted.

    I have 3 boys, and while I would LOVE for God to bless me with a little girl, I would be beyond thrilled to have another little boy!!! Be grateful for whatever God decides to give you.

    We are trying in December for our last baby. We both hope for a boy so Xander can have a brother, but a girl will be great too...I would LOVE b/g twins actually! All you can do is take your chances...hope you guys get a little boy :)
