Confirmed: Baby August is Big!

DARNIT!  LOL  Everyone in DH's family has told me what big baby's they all were... smallest being almost 10lbs (my DH).  At my ultrasound yesterday, she told me that August weights 2lbs 14oz.  I was like ok, I know that is a little more than he should weight.  So then the Dr. came in and said everything looks good, baby is growing REALLY well..  I laughed.  Then she started asking me if I have taken my blood sugar test yet... I told her I took it on Tuesday and it was 116.  So then she started telling me that she didn't know how much weight I had gained but that could also contribute to it.  Blah blah blah... told her that I out at XXXlbs, at 12 or so weeks, got a really bad flu and cold, lost 14/15 lbs, finaly gained it back and now I am 6 lbs over my starting weight.  She said that was not very much and seemed puzzled...   Then told me he is in the 82%!!  WTF? Seriously?  WHy?  I was told that this kind of stuff doesn't come from DH family!  Now I am nervous I will end up having to be induced or worse...C SEC!   Anyone have this experience?  82% seems kind of high to me.

    That is high yes. 50 is average and mine is 63. She said she's a little big and that she can come out at 38 weeks and that's probably when we'll be taking her. But mine's breech so that's why I have to do the c-sec....I would say if yours is near or above 10lbs they'll prob do the c-sec....that's what I've been told anyway. I'm sure it will all be fine though :)  No worries, baby will just be healthy! :)
