Very sudden decrease in milk supply

My milk has decreased very fast, like within a day or two. I went from pumping enough for a bottle (6 oz or so) and it would take me 2 pumping sessions to get this amount. Last night I got 3oz in this amount of time. I would say a day or 2 ago, my milk was normal and then it dropped. I know around 6 months your milk decreases some and DD had been nursing a little bit less but yesterday she nursed pretty good and then I got like no milk when pumping!

There is a small chance I could be pg (we are TTC next month but this month we didn't try but didn't prevent, although I'm pretty sure I know when I O'd and I don't think being pg is very possible this time). However, I know that your milk production decreases when you are pregnant, but does it happen this fast?

Could also be the return of AF. AF returned for me at 6mos and my supply dropped to non-existant. I wasn't able to get it back so I just stopped. I have enough frozen to last DD until 8mos so I was ok with it.

Could be a lot of things. I had a sudden dip at 9 months. Turned out AF was on the way for the first time pp. Just make sure you are drinking lots of water. I added in 4 cups a day of an herbal Mother's Milk tea and it seemed to help, too.

Same thing happened to me. AF returned last month and my milk is about to completely dry up.

Sounds like AF - she hasn't returned for me yet but based on what I've read the supply drop is temporary (as in a few days) and your kiddo will be just fine (although she may nurse more often).
