So I tried to leave one arm out for unswaddling...

and she pretty much lost her_shit.  she kept yanking the paci out of her mouth and crying bc she couldn't get it back in.  how does this one arm out thing work?!

Hahaha. I have no clue how to keep her from not swaddling. Maybe it is just not time for her yet.

These were my thoughts exactly.  I think DS will be swaddled til he is in high school.

  • T won't have anything to do with it either, she LOVES being swaddled
  • No advice...just sympathy! DD has to be unswaddled all together now b/c she flips right onto her belly as soon as I put her down. It is aweful...she is a hot mess without the swaddle!
  • Leaving one arm out was my plan for weaning from the swaddle.  Unfortunately, Dean took the weaning on my time frame away this week because he rolled over onto his face while sleeping swaddled.  So, Wednesday we had to go cold turkey and he has really done surprisingly well...  But, we have to give him a small cloth diaper to "love" on while he falls asleep or he tends to rub his face with his hands and knock the pacifier out also.

Clearly we watch him carefully when he has the diaper to be sure he doesn't fall asleep with it on his face...but he LOVES the thing.  Go figure.
