Let me preface this by saying I don't expect one's parent's/MIL/FIL to give them gifts on Mother's or Father's Day - but do they?
I am only asking because my parents are deceased, DH doesn't talk to his mother, and my FIL has never given me a gift ever (even for our wedding).. however I do have friends and other family that often send us cards and stuff.
Re: Do your parents/IL's give you Father's/Mother's Day gifts
My parents - no. Nothing for DH or me.
My MIL - yes. She has always given me a card for Mother's Day sicne we got married and I became a step-mom. Since I had DD I also get a small check or gift.
This year she was visiting in April and she bought me a bunch of maternity clothes that were my combined birthday and mother's day gift (about $100).
We always gift on mothers day and fathers day not expecting anything. if we get something great, if we don't is ok.
No.
However, I always give friends who are new parents a card on M/F Day.
No
My mom does but she gives us presents for everything (to the extent that one year my DH kiddingly called her and asked if she was mad at us because Arbor Day came and went without a gift).
My ILs do not. ?They get us Christmas presents and that's it. ?We don't even get Father's Day/Mother's Day cards.?
LOL Just realized that isnt what you asked LOL
I get gifts from my mom and SIL and DH gets gifts from my mom but thats it.
