I am a person that has a difficult time with doing anything to my body that requires me to put something in it/or take something out of it. This includes earrings (this is why my ears aren't pierced), removing a splinter with a hot needle, etc.
Well-- on Sunday I start the NuvaRing.
I have been BC free for 4 weeks, and this is a new type for me. I've always only been on the pill, but I can't take it any more because my hormones have changed.
I am getting squeamish knowing I will have to insert a ring inside of me, and leave it in there just hanging out for 3 weeks, and then take it out again.
I was reading the instructions yesterday and just about fainted looking at the pictures of the insertion.
Yes, I'm weird like that.
Re: I'm getting sqeamish just thinking about it.
i was thinking the same thing
See-- with a tampon, there is at least a string to tug on for removal which I am okay with.
This ring removal of going up and searching for it freaks me out.
But, I need to be brave. There's no other way around it.
misjenn- Thanks for the info. I will just take a deep breath, try not to think about it too hard, and get it over with.
Like you said-- it's way easier than BC pills.
Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD point!
