We have decided not to have interaction with J's mom anymore

The case is so emotional right now and we have determined that it does not serve anyone any justice to have face to face contact anymore.

The mom has made several "demands" that are not within her right and we just think that not having contact would be best at this point.

Things might change in the future.  But for now, I will still drive him to the office, but the aid will come to my car and get J while his mom waits inside.

It will be the same way at pick-up.  What I was doing was not the norm anyway.  My husband is thrilled, as he never wanted me to meet her in the first place.

    It does sound like that would make the situation easier, and there really doesn't seem to be a point to contact right now anyway, so I think this will be best.  Why complicate your life and put both your and her feelings on the line with every visit?

    If meeting her is causing drama, I would also not have contact.  I hope it all works out for the best.

    I think its the right call.  No need to add to your stress level by trying to manage your relationship with her.  If she has concerns, she can bring it up with the caseworker - and they can deal with her.
    2 years TTC with 5 losses, 1 year recovering, 6 months applying for adoption approval, and almost a year waiting for a placement. Then, a miracle BFP at age 36!
