Why is it that every time I watch this show, they show the young mom microwaving a bottle? I mean, all parenting judgment aside, I thought this was just common knowledge.
I was thinking the same thing while watching her do it. Plus I loved her reason for not BF it makes your boobs saggy, umm I am pretty sure having a baby will do that!
common knowledge does not neccessarily apply to teenagers, i guess.
Right, but even the fact that the show's producers and others involved in production let them show this. I feel like it's just like showing someone driving with no seatbelt, or underage drinking or something. Maybe I'm over-thinking it.
EVERYONE in my family microwaves bottles. formula or bm it doesnt matter, they will still do it. ive tried to tell them about it but it just goes in one ear and out the other...

this and i just loved how her mom agreed....ignorance is apparently heredity
My SIL microwaves all of her bottles...I registered for Born Free glass bottles and she bought me plastic instead because she said the glass ones aren't microwavable....Um, I didn't plan on microwaving them...thanks.

There is a huge difference. The things you mentioned are illegal.
I though the same thing but I looked closer and I don't think it was the actual bottle she was microwaving, it was water in a different container. Still not great, but better.
Re: another 16 and Pregnant post...
funny u say that..
i noticed that also! even if they dont know not to do it.. u would think the girls mom might could advise her about hot spots.
