Hi Ladies,
I'm still PG, after a few very annoying ?false alarms, but if baby doesn't get here by Thursday 25th naturally, I will have a repeat C-Section, so there is an end in sight!?
So, after much blood shed and tears, we have finally warmed to ONE boy name, but after posting on baby Names last night I'm having second thoughts.?
In the Irish/Scottish Community it is very much a Boy's name, but the feedback I'm getting here in America is that it is more thought of as a Girl's name (Thanks Gilmore Girls).
So heres the poll?

Re: Boy Name Poll - help me out please.
Love to hear me some Irish names...
I said "reminds me of a girl name" but before you think I am excluding it as your sons name....
Try the Irish spelling, when I see it spelled this way I KNOW it is a boy's name:
Rauri
means Red king or Great King...so that is totally a boy name...but again I like the traditional spelling

In college I worked with a guy named Rory, and he was adorable. I like it (and was unaware about the Gilmore Girls connection).

I also love Gilmore Girls, but don't think of Rory as a girl name.. probably b/c John has a cousin named Rory, but I agree with the Kendall about the traditional spelling.. (although I see your point in that is gets butchered a lot)
Good luck!

I'd say if you like it, go for it! Don't worry about what other people think. If you and DH agree, that's more important!
A very close friend of mine had a female cousin named Aurora whom everyone called Rory. She was, unfortunately, killed in a car accident several years ago. My friend plans to honor her by naming her first-born child Rory, regardless of whether it is a boy or girl.
