4 days of daycare & already sick

Well, not really sick...DD started daycare on Monday. Last night she was already congested and starting to get a cold. When we dropped her off on Monday we saw that one of her little classmates had a really bad runny nose, and, although I knew it was inevitable, I didn't think it would happen this quick. Oh, the joys of daycare!

    FWIW Emma was sick all the time for her first couple of years, and now she is Never sick. ?It does help them build up some defenses.

    Aww...sorry to hear that. To be honest, G was sick all the time his first year of daycare. Everyone told me this same thing about their kiddos and I totally thought they were exaggerating but that wasn't the case. :(

      Ditto this.  DD was sick with a cold/ear infection every other week.  Once we got tubes at 9 months, it eased up.  But she still has a runny nose quite often.  She does however beat the little colds very quickly now.

    Poor baby. Yes, the first year of them being in daycare is the worst. During the fall/winter my kids were sick every.single.week, no exaggeration. Now, Caleb hardly ever gets a cold and when he does it's not bad and doesen't last long at all.

    Aw, thanks for the compliment. She is such a smiley baby in the mornings! It's good to hear all the encouragement. I knew she'd get sick, I just didn't realize it would be so quick, or that it would happen so often. At least she'll build up her immune system and hopefully not get sick as often as she gets older.
