i love my dad
he's so awesome. he volunteered a while ago to come to our house during the day once we both go back to work so that baby can stay at home, my wife can sleep when she normally does (during the day since she's a third shifter), we can save money, and grandpa can get some bonding time in while he's at it. we'll be making sure we have a backup plan in place, too, just in case, but we've hashed out all the details that we can for now.
anyway, the other day my dad and i were doing some stuff for the big bathroom project we've got going on (which we are sooooooo close to finishing). he just stoped and looked at me with this big grin and said: "i'm so excited to be a nanny! i can't wait!" how cute is that?
