Stepping Stone Help!

So I bought the stepping stones - doing 2 - one for each grandpa.  My LO is almost 4 months old.  I don't know if his handprints or footprints would look better.  Who has done this?  What works best?  Any advice would be great!

    I didnt do stepping stones, but I tried to make handprints and footprints for my dad's Father's Day gift.  The footprint came out great.  The handprint?  Not so much.  I was able to get the paint on her hand, but when I tried to press it onto the paper, she would close it.  Then she'd try to put it in her mouth.  It was a mess.  We had paint all over ther clothes, my clothes.

    How are you doing the stones? Paint? Making stones? I'm curious, because I was going to make stones and press little feet into them and decorate with the blass stones.

    I'm going to press either his hands or feet into the stones and then use a stick to press in/write his name and year.  I just don't know if hands or feet will look better pressed in.
