3rd Trimester

for those of you still working...

...kudos to you. I sleep so terribly through the night that I don't think I could make it through a full day of work at this point. BUT in 2 weeks, I will be working for my parent's business (albeit making my own hours) so I am trying to enjoy this downtime while it lasts!

Re: for those of you still working...

  • I will work up until my due date or until I have the baby.  I'll get bored at home.  I prefer use all my time after he arrives.

  • Yeah...I second the PP!  I have transferred most of my lab work to the guy who will be doing my work while I'm out so I am trying to be hands off unless he has questions.  Me on the other hand....I sleep too well and just can't get up in the morning..that's my biggest problem!  That and trying to commute 1 hour with this crazy bladder!  It's really not that bad and I'll be working until the end of my 38th week, then from home.

  • I was a teacher's aide this year and we got done 2 weeks ago...then I was out of town for a week in my cousin's wedding last week, so this has been like my first week off. I love it and feel really blessed to be able to be home, and then work where I can make my own hours...Another teacher at school worked until her due date and I don't know how she did it! :) I'm not miserable I just can't sleep worth a darn!
  • Next month I will transfering my work load to the 2 poeple taking over while I'm out and I will just be the overflow person. I'm hoping things will slow down a bit.

This last week has really been bad. I'm so tired. Maybe it's the weather. It's been raining non-stop in MA.

  • It is hard, but I don't have a choice, so I deal.

This!  Hah!  But I'd get bored at home and I'd rather use as much as I can for after LO's arrival.  And all in all - I feel pretty good!  I'm not crazy uncomfortable and don't have most of the other complaints that may other ladies here are dealing with at this point in their pregnancies.  I've been blessed with a good pregnancy!  (Now, watch - this kid will give me a run for my money!)

  • I'm working up until I go into labor.  I have so much I need to get done in the next four weeks and I've had a pretty good pregnancy that there is no reason for me to truly take off.  I would love a day off or something, but I'll save those for closer to LO's arrival.
  • I third Hula's statement. I am at work a full day, but productive I am not. Brain does not function like it used to. Sadly.
  • I wish I didn't need to but I'm working FT until this little one arrives.  Did the same with my first, actually went into labor on a Friday night after work, she was very considerate. lol
