I have this stroller, but honestly have to say I don't use it much. I had the double snapNgo which I tried to use as long as possible since it was so convenient. I recently purchased a combi twin sport which seems to be my primary stoller now because it is so compact, lightweight, and easy to maneuver.
While I was pregnant I thought I really wanted the kolcraft stroller but I just don't feel it's very practical for everyday use. It's a really nice stroller and handles well...it's just big and heavy. I feel bad I don't use it very much since it was a gift from my mom =(
We have one and really like it, but we're still using the infant car seats. Like the pp said it's big and heavy, but drives really nice. I think any double stroller that fits car seats is going to be big. I like that it also has the seats with it so once they outgrow their infant seats they haven't outgrown the stroller.
If you get it- you don't need to get the DSNG b/c the Contours does the same thing- so that's one reason to get it... Yes- it's big and heavy- but all doubles are (except for the DSNG basic frame). You get used to having a heavy stroller
I have a high end stroller that i have used for 2 yrs with my son and think that the Contours feels very similar when driving it - for such a great, low price.
I got mine for $140 at BRU using a 20% off coupon from BRU + another 20% off BBB coupon at the same time... so for that cheap- even if i didn't love it- it's a super cheap price for a tandem stroller - which I wanted to have one of (I have a side by side already for the twins)
i did a lot of research and for the most part it gets great reviews. The biggest complaint i saw online was that the seats were too small- but that appears to be in an older model - b/c since then i have seen reviews where people complained to kolcraft and they sent them new, larger seats at no charger.
I do know they plan to come out with a new model in 2010 I believe - so if you have time you might want to wait until january when they release the new one. Since I already bought mine- i can assure you the new one will be much better- because that is what happens to me - lol - right after I got my Phil & Teds a newer better model came out weeks later
Have it and love it!!! ?No need for a SNG with this stroller.....I use it daily. ?I guess it is a little heavy.........but really with twins your upper body strength will become amazing :-)
