I quit!!!

I will be quitting my crappy part time retail job at the mall this friday! It sucks, I hate it, and can't stand my boss. All the stress, feet soreness, lack of respect, and hunger throughout my shifts are not worth it!

DH is fine with my decision, but I feel bad bc his job ends in a month so its kinda up to him to provide financially for us..he has 2 interviews next week. One interview is in The Dallas, so we might be moving too, which is worth it bc the job makes bank.

So I get 1 check before I quit...I wonder how far I can stretch it buying baby stuff? I think with $500 I can get a bassinet (the one I want is $130), breast pump, and ?????

    Ugg.. I wish I didn't work for my best friend or I would prob be out of here too.  I have been her crutch for her business for so long and I am ready to be free of it all.  It takes everything in me not to do it.  I like money too much and I don't want to listen to her about why I am going on maternity early.  LOL  Especially since I am not going back to work.

     

    You should buy stuff used at the consignment shops so your paycheck goes further.. or even craigslist.

    Eek, scary time to be quiiting a job!  Can you get a different part time job to work at for the rest of your pregnancy?  I would be worried because you will be losing both of your incomes...?  Sorry to be debbie downer, but can you wait until your DH has a job lined up?

    Worst case is that he loses his job and doesn't get another one right away, so he goes on unemployment and we move into his moms place. This is worst case. My husband is very resourceful though, hopefully he gets a job from one of the interviews next week.

    I'm been saving my little income (part time min wage job) for when baby gets here so we have a little nest of moneys in case we need someone for baby. Also to buy me maternity clothes, and to pay for water aerobics classes.

    Good for you guys!  Sorry to be so nosey Embarrassed  I worked at Coach when I was pregnant, and it was sooooo hard.  My feet hurt all the time, I was starving my entire shift...so I totally get why you want to quit!!

    Good luck with everything!!!  Let usknow how his interviews go!
