Anyone's DC had Scarlet Fever?

DD was diagnosed with it today. Our pedi warned us that her rash may peel, as well as the folds of her skin, in between toes & fingers, etc. For some reason, that part is really freaking me out. So, if your DC had it, did they peel? Was it horrid?

No, but I had it as a child. I really don't remember, but I also don't remember my mom mentioning peeling toes. So try not to worry! Hope she feels better soon.?

I am sorry your little one has scarlet fever. DS #1 (now 16 yrs old) had it and he did peel something horrible. Sounds worse than it actually was. I don't remember that he was uncomfortable when the peeling point actually came around. I hope your DD feels better soon.

Thanks, Pamela! When the pedi said "peeling" all I could think about was a sunburn and how painful that would be for DD. I'm glad to hear that the peeling wasn't uncomfortable for your DS.
