Dallas-Fort Worth Babies

Creamy (and AW!)

I just noticed something and thanks to you, I know T DOES know some sign language!  I remember you saying that Tessa holds the one had flat and kind of "points" at it with her other finger.  I always ask T "you want more" and I noticed she was doing it!!!!  Everytime I ask if she wants more (and sometimes even when I don't ask!) she starts pointing at her hand... soooo cute!

I'm so freakin excited and proud of my baby girl.  Had we not talked about it, I don't  know if I ever would have noticed.  It is SO amazing watching our babies learn stuff.  Smart girls :)

  • Oh, that's great!  I know that different schools teach "more" another way, but Tessie has always done it like that and so have the other littlies at her school.  :D  Congratulations, Taylor!!  Yay!!

  • Yay for your smart little girl!
  • Awesome!! I bet she knows some others and you just don't know it yet. I had to order some videos from www.signingtime.com just so I could get caught up to figure out what G is signing. LOL

He was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse this morning while I was getting ready for work and kept doing something with his hands when there was a bird in a tree and when I said tree he did it again. Then when we got to daycare I had to ask if he was signing tree and sure enough he was. I seriously cannot wait until those DVD's get here. lol

We have a couple of those DVDs and they are GREAT!  They really make the signs easy to learn, and Tessie loves to see the little kids on them; she starts dancing right along with them.  :D  If you subscribe to www.babysteals.com, sometimes they have those DVDs at a very good price.

Holy crap, they do?? They are pretty pricey so I will keep my eyes open for them on baby steals. I found a good deal on the 2nd series on bestbuy.com where you get 3 dvds for $14.99 but that series are more advanced and I think are for older kids. My SIL has the whole collection and her oldest DD knows like over 125 signs and the youngest DD (18 mos) can sign the alphabet. They are definitely an awesome learning tool.

  • That is so cool!! I am really wishing that we had done the sign language with A.

Other than pointing and yelling, the only thing she can easily communicate is when she wants her sippy. She goes, "Ahhhhhh", like the noise she makes after she takes a sip, lol.

  • Yay Taylor! Sophia does the same sign for more, I just love seeing their minds work and expressing themselves.

  • Thanks for posting this.  I think DS is signing more now (once I realized what he is doing).  Too funny.  I hope he will use more signs soon.  It is amazing to see exactly how much they have learned.  :)
