I started my maternity leave at 37 weeks and it was a good thing because ds came early, he was born at 38 weeks. GL!

She expects me to work until the baby makes an appearance! Even if its 2 weeks past my EDD! haha! She's a BIOTCH sometimes.

I tried to work up until my EDD, and by 39 weeks, I was just utterly exhausted. Screw your boss - start maternity leave when you want/need to. If need be, get your doctor to put you on maternity leave early. That way you are covered by FMLA if your boss decides to get pissy.

You can fix that by getting a doc's note saying you cant.

This. I would have a little chat with my doc and see if I could a doc's note to cover it.
