Re: Stoopid question..

  • Probably.  It'll need to have a DVD drive, but most do these days.

  • Loading the player...
  • Yeah I have the DVD drive.  I can't test it at work though.  I"m going to test when I get home.

  • If it has a DVD drive you should be golden.

  • Saweeet!  And here I was looking into a portable DVD player.

I guess I could have googled it. :)

  • Just a warning, but my DD like to pound on our portable DVD player...and computer.  Luckily, the DVD player has a hold button.  Your child is probably not as wild as mine (this has just happened recently).  But it might also be better if it is on your DH's lap.  I am usually flying by myself.  I'm rambling now, but anyways, beware of her banging on your laptop while your trying to play her a movie!

  • Not sure how long your plane trip is, but another benefit of a portable DVD player is battery life.  My old laptop would last about 40 minutes if I was playing a DVD.  I had a "cigarette lighter" power cord so I always made sure I booked a seat that was in a row that had the plug (www.seatguru.com).

The portable DVD players last a lot longer (and they typically come with the plug for the airplane).
